  1. Eligibility to enter: Any person who is a current member of Grand Valley Aquarium Club may submit artwork. For family memberships, all members of that family are eligible to submit artwork.

  2. The Work Must Be Original: You must be the creator of the art that you submit to the competition. Your art must be your own original concept and not a copy of anyone else’s copyrighted material. (If your image infringes upon another’s copyright it will be disqualified.) Upon submitting your work to this competition, you are solely responsible for any infringement on copyrighted materials.

  3. Content:
    DO NOT: Use any copyrighted material.
    DO NOT: Use any AI generated material.
    DO NOT: Use any Obscene or Offensive material. (This will be determined by the GVAC Board)

  4. Copyright: Contest entrants will retain copyright of all submitted work but grant Grand Valley Aquarium Club unlimited and indefinite permission to display submitted images on/in Grand Valley Aquarium Club’s merchandise, website, print collateral, display images, and/or any additional event promotional materials.

  5. Non-exclusive Permissions: By entering this art competition, you are granting us a non-exclusive perpetual license to reproduce images of your artwork on our website, in our print media, newsletters, exhibits, merchandise, print collateral, display images, and/or any additional event promotional materials. All winning entries will be published in the Grand Valley Aquarium Club website. Each entry may be featured for historical / archival purposes. Any present or future requests for removal will be denied.

  6. The Entry Process:
    Option 1. Bring your original artwork with entry form to GVAC club meeting.
    This should be on 8.5” x 11” paper.
    Option 2. Email your artwork to GVACcontest@gmail.com
    jpg format only

  7. Original Work: We reserve the right to request proof that your entry is your original artwork created solely by you. Non-compliance to this rule will be a disqualification of your entry.

  8. Multiple Submission: Multiple submissions are permitted, however, each artist is limited to one only prize payment.

  9. Submission Deadlines: Artworks may be submitted up until midnight May 30, 2025. No artworks will be accepted past the posted deadline.

  10. Winners:
    Club members will vote for winning entry at June 14 2025 Club meeting.
    Winning entry will be announced at July 17 2025 annual picnic.
    The winning artist will receive $50.00 GVACBucks and a T-shirt.
